For the Deaf and Hearing Impaired

Live Captions

Selected performances in Season 2010 will be live captioned by The Captioning Studio for patrons who are deaf or hearing impaired. All dialogue and sound effects are described in real time on screens in the auditorium or if preferred on a discreet hand held device. All captioned performances are listed on the following page.

FM Radio Assisted Hearing System

An FM radio assisted hearing system is available for all performances at The Playhouse and Canberra Theatre.
The FM system amplifies and improves the quality of the sound through the use of a headset or hearing aid.

These services are provided with the assistance of Better
Hearing Australia, ACT Deafness Resource Centre and The Captioning Studio.
