Experience the greatest love story ever told

You know the story: two young lovers meet and fall in love. But with their
families locked in a bitter feud, Romeo and Juliet’s fate is
doomed. While they will do anything to be together, their families will do
everything to keep them apart.
Christopher Hampson's staging of Romeo & Juliet was first
performed by the Royal New Zealand Ballet in 2003 and, following a hugely
successful UK tour, it was nominated for a Laurence Olivier Award for Best
Production in 2005.
Set to Sergei Prokofiev’s ravishing score, this highly
dramatic and visually stunning production is inspired by the look of Fellini's
La Dolce Vita and Baz Luhrmann's film version of the Shakespearean
masterpiece.
Featuring a rich and bloody colour palette by designer Tracy Grant Lord, join
the lovers as they battle against their families in order to follow their
hearts, only to have their happiness shattered forever.
