Buying any ticket to any show counts towards your membership, so whether you want to laugh, dance or feel something totally new, your path to membership is uniquely yours.

Throughout the year, members will enjoy priority presales, flexible ticket options, exclusive invites, discounts at the Link Bar and special offers at nearby restaurants – all the little extras that make your time at the theatre feel like it was made just for you.

To be registered as a member, all patrons must:

• Have purchased tickets to 3 or more shows with performance dates in the same calendar year.
• Have tickets booked under their own name.

Canberra Theatre Centre Membership – Frequently Asked Questions 

Becoming a Member 

How do I become a Member?
Simply book tickets to three or more shows taking place in the same calendar year. Once your bookings are confirmed under the same ticketing account, your Membership will be activated – no separate sign-up required. 

I have already booked 3 or more 2026 shows – does this makes me a Member?
YES. If you have already purchased 3 or more 2026 shows, you have automatically become a member for 2026. Your digital Membership Card will be sent at the the start of the month following your third eligible booking. You can contact our friendly Box Office team to request your Membership Card be made available to you sooner.

Do I need to book all three shows at once?
No. You can book shows at any time throughout the year. Your Membership will activate as soon as your third eligible show is booked, and your digital Membership Card will be sent at the the start of the month following this third eligible booking.

Which shows count toward Membership?
Paid tickets to any show presented at Canberra Theatre Centre – including comedy, dance, music, theatre, or family entertainment, counts! Purchasing tickets to any three shows in the same calendar year will activate your membership for that year.
Note: Free, complimentary, or zero-dollar tickets (e.g. Music at Midday) do not count. 

What if I buy tickets for someone else?
Only the account holder who makes the purchases qualifies for Membership. Friends or family must book three eligible shows through their own accounts to qualify. 

Can I book multiple shows in one transaction?
Due to system limitations, each show must be booked in a separate transaction.

Membership Activation & Cards 

When will I know my Membership is active?
You’ll receive a confirmation email at the start of the month following your third eligible booking. This email includes your digital Membership Card. 

Want your Digital Card sooner?
You can request your digital and/or physical Membership Card by contacting our friendly Box Office team.

How do I get my Membership Card? 

• Digital Card: Delivered via email and can be added to your Apple or Google Wallet. 
• Physical Card: Available for collection at the Box Office upon request. 

What if I don’t want to be a Member?
You can opt out of Membership communications by updating your email preferences or contacting the Box Office.

When do benefits start and end?
Membership 2026 benefits start on 1 January 2026 until 31 December 2026.
We recommend booking early to enjoy benefits throughout the year.
Membership 2027 benefits start on 1 January 2027 until 31 December 2027. 2027 Membership Cards will be delivered later this year.

Can I share my Membership benefits?
No. Benefits are linked to your personal account and are non-transferable. However, your guests are welcome to attend shows with you. 

Do I need to sign up for marketing emails?
Yes. You must be subscribed to Canberra Theatre Centre marketing emails to receive Member benefits, updates, presale alerts, and exclusive offers.

How do I use my food and beverage discount?
Show your Membership Card (digital or physical) at the Link Bar to receive 10% off your order.

What are Partner Offers?
Members receive special discounts at nearby restaurants, bars, and cafés.
Check the Members’ webpage or monthly email for the latest offers.

What are the Members’ Special Ticket Giveaways?
Members are invited to enter exclusive ticket draws for high-demand or limited-access events.
Details are shared via monthly Membership emails.

What if I’m booking for a group?
Group bookings are welcome. However, each person must book individually under their own account and subscribe to the mailing list to qualify for Membership. Group booking forms are available from the Box Office upon request. 

What happens if I reach Membership status late in the year?
Membership benefits are distributed monthly. If you qualify late in the calendar year, your benefits will still be valid until 31 December that year, but we encourage early booking to maximise your experience.

Canberra Theatre Centre Membership – Terms and Conditions 

1. Eligibility

To qualify for Membership: 

• Patrons must purchase tickets to three (3) or more eligible shows with performance dates in the same calendar year. 
• All tickets must be booked under the same ticketing account and directly through Canberra Theatre Centre’s official ticketing system. 
• Complimentary, gifted, or free tickets, including those won through competitions or third-party providers, do not count toward eligibility. 
• Using a Canberra Theatre Centre gift card to purchase tickets will count towards membership. The purchase of a gift card does not count towards membership. 
• Patrons must be subscribed to Canberra Theatre Centre marketing communications to receive updates, presale access, and exclusive offers. 

2. Membership Activation and Validity

• Membership becomes active once three eligible shows have been booked. Members will receive an email at the beginning of the month following their third booking, confirming their Membership and sending through a digital card. 
• Membership is valid until 31 December of that year. 
• Benefits apply only to the account holder and are non-transferable, non-shareable, and not redeemable for cash. 

3. Benefits and Offers

Membership benefits are subject to availability and may change throughout the year. They include: 

a) Priority Presale Access

• Members will receive priority access to presales where possible. 

c) Food & Beverage Discount

• Members receive 10% off food and beverage at the Link Bar upon presentation of a valid Membership card (physical or digital). 
• Failure to present the card will result in denial of the discount. 

d) Special Event Invitations

• Invitations to exclusive events may be offered at Canberra Theatre Centre’s discretion. These are non-transferable.

e) Partner Offers and Discounts

• Offers from partner venues will be listed on the website and promoted via Membership emails. 
• A valid Membership card must be presented at the point-of-sale to redeem offers, noting additional T&Cs may apply to specific partner offers.
• Canberra Theatre Centre is not responsible for changes or withdrawal of partner offers. 

f) Ticket Giveaways

• Members can choose to enter monthly giveaways for free tickets to selected shows.
• Details will be shared via Membership emails, and winners will be contacted directly.
• Members’ Giveaway tickets are non-transferable and valid only for the performance date and time as stated in Membership emails.

g) Member Ticket Discounts

• Membership discounts may be offered on select performances from time to time and are subject to availability and specific offer conditions.
• Discounts apply to new bookings only and must be redeemed at the time of purchase.
• Discounts cannot be retrospectively applied to existing bookings. Tickets purchased prior to the offer being made available are not eligible for refund, exchange, or reissue for the purpose of accessing a Membership discount.
• All Membership discounts are non-transferable and valid only for the named Member.

4. Exclusions

• Some performances or events may be excluded from presales, giveaways, or exchanges at Canberra Theatre Centre’s discretion. 

5. Privacy

• Canberra Theatre Centre manages personal information in accordance with the ACT Information Privacy Act 2014. 
• By subscribing to the Canberra Theatre Centre mailing list, your details may be shared for marketing purposes with presenters and venues related to your select performances. You can change your marketing preferences at any time via the unsubscribe link in email marketing communications or by contacting Canberra Ticketing.

6. General

• Canberra Theatre Centre reserves the right to amend or withdraw the Membership program or any part of it at any time. 
• Participation in the Membership program implies acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
