Canberra Theatre Centre (CTC) recognises that ACT and our region is full of ambitious, creative and tenacious independent artists, each with an exciting practice and who are creating great new work. To support the visibility of the city’s great makers, CTC would like to extend support to local Canberran artists through our ‘Canberra Artist Spotlight’ – an opportunity to connect independent Canberra-based and connected artists to our audiences through our social media and eNews networks.

The Canberra Artist Spotlight profiles run periodically, when content is available. The Canberra Artist Spotlight profile features include:

  • 1 social post on CTC’s Facebook and Instagram feed
  • 1 inclusion in CTC’s weekly eNews

Artists will be selected based on the alignment of their work to CTC’s values, with the ACT Government’s Statement of Ambition for the Arts, and with CTC’s current programming.

How To Apply

Artists can apply for inclusion as a Local Artist Spotlight profile by filling in this form. You can promote your practice, a work you have in development, or a show you have coming up in Canberra.

Please indicate your preferred dates for promotion. While CTC will accommodate these dates where possible, publishing dates are at CTC’s discretion.

Artist to supply:

  • hero image
  • video (if available – social only)
  • bio/marketing copy about current work (50-70 words) – please note this may be tweaked by CTC for different channels or audiences
  • booking link (if applicable)
  • hashtags and/or relevant tagged people/artist links.

Artist is responsible for clearing permission and communication with their commissioning/hired venue for any promotion through CTC.
