Canberra Theatre Centre is proud to announce that our ACT UP! Student Festival is back for its eighth year. The ACT UP! Drama Festival is a wonderful chance for students to experience what it’s like to perform in a large-scale professional venue. This multi-school production will feature talent from secondary school students across the ACT and surrounds, each giving a non-competitive, curated 10-minute performance to fellow students, teachers, parents and members of the public. Participating schools will develop their own short performance inspired by this year’s theme, Freedom and Restriction. "The students’ interactions and support of one another was outstanding." – Staff member, Alfred Deakin High School (ACT UP! 2021) "An awesome day and night with some really fabulous pieces of theatre ... I was back in the theatre with goosebumps and tears in my eyes." – Staff member, Canberra College (ACT UP! 2021)
