About

A One Woman Dance Extravaganza from the 2017 ACT Artist of the Year

Canberra Theatre Centre is proud to present acclaimed dance artist Liz Lea’s RED, filmed live on the Canberra Theatre stage as part of CTC@Home.

Pulled prematurely from the global touring circuit in the midst of COVID-19, RED is a world-class contemporary dance work by one of the ACT’s most beloved and inventive choreographers. RED is an elusive, fractious, fabulous interdisciplinary performance. The work combines film, theatre and movement to entertain and explain.

Lea created this work with internationally recognised collaborators including Brian Lucas, Vicki van Hout, Virginia Ferris and numerous others, Canberrans will recognise Lea for her prolific work in the dance community including but not limited to the festivals DANscienCE and BOLD, touring children’s show Reef UP! and Program Curator for Ausdance ACT.

View RED on demand from Wednesday 15 July from 7pm.
